The book Confrarias de Portugal was born from an intensive work by the photographer Marisa Cardoso and the journalist Ana Catarina André who travelled 13217km to document some fascinating associative movements focused on the Portuguese gastronomy and its cultural tradition.

The book contains 478 images and combines the stories of 56 gastronomic brotherhoods from all over Portugal, including the Azores Island.

The 250 pages capture not only the most authentic products and recipes, but also the heritage and landscapes that caracterize and distinguish each region.
